How much does an artwork cost?
The price of an original artwork depends on technique, size, artist experience, and production time. On Pincelada, prices usually range from $3,000 UYU to more than $80,000 UYU.
Portfolio artworks (without a listed price) can still be consulted with the artist if you want availability or a similar commission.

Small watercolors, drawings, sketches
$ 10.000 – 30.000

+ $ 30.000

How do custom orders work?
A custom order means the artist creates an artwork specifically for you. The flow is:
You send your request
Describe your idea: subject, technique, size, and budget reference. You can attach reference images.
The artist sends a quote
The artist responds with price and estimated timeline.
You pay a 50% deposit
Once price is agreed, the deposit confirms the order and production starts.
Follow the progress
The artist shares updates in chat and you can request adjustments.
Pay balance and receive artwork
When finished, you pay the remaining 50% and coordinate delivery.
Track your order status
Every commission goes through these stages. You can always check the current status from your orders page.

How do I negotiate price?
Many artworks on Pincelada support price negotiation. You can propose a different amount and the artist can accept or counteroffer.
Negotiation has up to 3 rounds. If there is no agreement, the request closes with no charge.
Tip
Explain why you are making that offer. Context increases the chance of agreement.
What if I don't like the result?
During production you can review progress in chat and request adjustments.
The initial deposit covers work completed so far. If needed, ask for revision before final payment.
Final reviews help future buyers understand your experience.
How does delivery work?
Delivery is coordinated directly with the artist through commission chat. Common options:
In-person pickup
You agree on a meeting point.
Home delivery
The artist ships the artwork properly packed.
To be arranged
You define logistics in chat after confirmation.
How much does the service cost?
When you buy on Pincelada, a 5% service fee is added to the agreed price. This fee covers the platform, secure payments, and support throughout the process.
There are no hidden fees. The total you pay is always shown before you confirm.

Open requests
A open request is a public description of what you're looking for. Any verified artist can see it and send you a quote — you choose which one to accept.
It's ideal when you don't have a specific artist in mind but know what you want.
Describe your request
Include technique, approximate size, subject, and reference budget.
Artists send quotes
Interested verified artists will respond with their prices and timelines.
You choose
Review proposals, check artist profiles, and accept the one that fits best.
Normal commission flow
Once you accept a proposal, the commission continues as a normal order.
Tip
Include reference images and a realistic budget range to get better proposals from artists.
How do exhibitions (auctions) work?
Exhibitions are timed auctions where artists put an artwork up for sale for a limited period. You place a bid and if, when time runs out, your bid is the highest and exceeds the floor price, you win the artwork.
Bidding is free — your bid is a purchase commitment. If you win, a commission is created automatically and you have 72 hours to complete the deposit payment (50%). If you don't pay within that period, the artwork may be offered to the next highest bidder.
You find an active exhibition
Exhibitions appear with a countdown timer in the gallery.
You place your bid
Minimum bid is the floor price or 5% above the current bid (whichever is higher). Minimum increment: $100 UYU.
You wait for the close
If someone outbids you, you get a notification. Bids in the last 5 minutes extend the deadline by 5 minutes (anti-snipe).
If you win, you pay
A commission is created automatically. You pay the 50% deposit via MercadoPago and coordinate delivery.
Important
Your bid is a real commitment. You cannot deactivate your account while you are the highest bidder on an active auction. If you win and don't pay, the artwork is offered to the next bidder and your account may be penalized.
